Arrow Films **
"AN absorbing film about two women struggling to find their place in life."
That's what the blurb on the back says.
But then the film starts and so does the disappointment.
I'm sorry to say that although the lead character, Isa, (Élodie Bouchez) is both likeable and sympathetic, the script is lame and cliched, and I immediately knew that the whole thing would end in soul-searching tragedy.
In between we get to see the cold, grey drabness that is Lille in winter, and a plot that looks like it was made up on the spot by film students rushing to complete a project.
The other lead, Marie (Natacha Régnier) is beautiful, but much too angry.
