CCTV has been released of a man confronting an armed robber at a bank in Teddington.
Detetectives are searching for a man they want to find in connection with the armed robbery of a bank.
On Friday, March 10 at around 2.30pm, the suspect approached a bank in Broad Street and peered through the door.
He then returned wearing a balaclava.
He threatened staff with a gun he pulled from a blue plastic carrier bag before demanding money.
The man was confronted by a member of the public who attempted to restrain him, but after a brief struggle the suspect managed to escape with over £150.
Detective Constable Mike Bunn, of the Met’s Flying Squad said: “This was a brazen robbery on a busy high street which left members of staff at the branch terrified.
"The robber travelled to the bank on a men's mountain bike and it is possible that he may live locally. I am urging anyone who recognises the man in the footage to contact us."
The suspect is described as a man aged between 30 and 40 years old. He was wearing a grey hooded top with a cap, black gloves, a black satchel bag and dark trousers. He also wore ‘Nike’ trainers with a red tick.
