From languages to landmarks, food to yoga, children will have the chance to explore different cultures.

Around the world in 10 days takes place at Harrow Arts Centre between July 24 and 28, and July 31 and August 4 and is aimed at children between four and eight-years-old.

Children will discover food, landmarks, languages, lifestyles and lots more through activities including Lego, arts and craft, games, daily yoga sessions and free time for children to socialise.

There will be native speakers from different countries visiting to teach basic languages, cultural and interesting facts about the various countries.

They are promising a balanced timetable to include stimulation, creativity, relaxation and socialising, to learn through play. They hope that without realising it, children will be improving skills that can be transferred into the classroom when they go back to school, with the promise to make sure that every child is nurtured to experience success and at the same challenged to achieve his or her potential.

Each day will begin with yoga from an experienced and qualified teacher from Yoga Paradise they intend to make children more aware of their breathing and give them a sense of self-belief and self-confidence through fun and imagination.

They are also taught easy breathing techniques that can help them transform nervousness and anxiety in to confidence. Each yoga session is structured with various adventurous themes throughout the week and children learn to slow down with mindfulness in each session so that they are happy, calm and relaxed.

Nikhit Shah, from E² Young Engineers, which has been been running the programmes for many years now as part of the STEM curriculum in primary schools and after school clubs, will be helping the children learn basic engineering and building principles.

Activities will be designed to encourage children to learn and apply basic engineering and building principles as well as develop problem solving and creativity through play with a bit of physics thrown in and incorporating our theme of around the world in 10 days.
