Charity Stem4 is holding a conference next week to help develop parents’ awareness of teenage mental health issues.
Focusing on early identification and intervention, the event will cover eating disorders, anxiety and depression, self-harm and addiction, providing evidence-based information to promote best practice and share common experiences.
The conference, taking place at St Cecilia's Church of England School, will include speakers such as consultant clinical psychologist Dr Nihara Krause, author of the book ‘Dear Michael, Love Dad’ Iain Maitland, parent and social worker Miriam George and child and adolescent mental health services (CAMHS) worker Joe Stone.
