The deadline to respond to a consultation into the future of the south eastern rail franchise has been extended.
The Department for Transport consultation is seeking views on the future of the franchise to ensure a new franchise delivers the best railway for passengers.
An original deadline to respond was scheduled for today, May 23 but it has been extended until the end of June.
An “option for improvement” put forward by the Department for Transport suggests that this “operational complexity” contributes to delays.
Department for Transport proposals would have services on Bexleyheath, Dartford and Greenwich lines only stop at Cannon Street.
