Men wearing balaclavas have reportedly stolen gold from a couple in Bexley leaving them ‘shaken up’ as police appeal for witnesses of their escape.
Kent Police said the men entered the property, in Tile Kiln Lane area of Bexley, between 3.45pm and 4.15pm on Sunday (April 23).
Police say two men, possibly with Liverpudlian accents, entered a property then threatened the couple and left with gold jewellery.
Investigating officer Detective Constable Steven Brown said: “The couple were not hurt in any way but it was a distressing incident and they were understandably shaken by it.
“We are appealing for anyone in the area at the time who may have seen someone acting suspiciously to contact us.
“We are particularly keen to hear from anyone who saw – or has dashcam footage of – vehicles leaving the area at speed on Sunday afternoon or perhaps saw any waiting vehicles with occupants in.”
The two offenders are described as white and aged between 20 and 30, one was wearing jeans, a white teeshirt and grey gloves.
