The 17-year-old student who was stabbed to death on a Battersea estate on Sunday has been named locally as Mohammed, known as ‘Little Mo’.
A murder investigation was launched after the teenager was attacked and killed by a gang while cycling through the York Road estate in the early hours of the morning.
Police and paramedics were called to Ingrave Street at 1.25am on April 23, where they found the victim close to death after suffering numerous stab wounds.
He was taken to a south London hospital but pronounced dead at 2.50am.
Formal identification is yet to take place but a Met Police spokesperson confirmed it would be after the post-mortem examination, which is taking place today (April 25).
Three bunches of flowers were left around a tree near to where the teenager was killed.
Attached to the tree was a note that read: “For the 17-year-old boy who was murdered here on 23rd April ‘17.
“Rest in peace. We did not know you but our thoughts are with your family.”
