From Wednesday 19th April to Sunday 23rd April, The Photographic Angle is holding a touring photographic exhibition based on the theme of architecture in Islington at the Finsbury Tower. Admission is free and it runs from 10am to 3pm and is suitable for all ages. The Photographic Angle is a charity which holds free exhibitions across the country transforming otherwise empty spaces into temporary galleries.

What’s special is that the exhibition themes are open to all so even amateur photographers can have the chance to have their work displayed. This exhibition promises to feature “a powerful catalogue of striking images that depict all aspects of architecture and help us to recognise the beauty that can be found in the smallest of details.” One person I interviewed, named Natalie found the exhibition very “breath taking and a beautiful clash of various perspectives which have been perfectly captured through a variety of lenses.”

The works featured in the exhibition range from all across the globe including India, America and China. Photographers are able to experiment with “contrast, light, shadows, textures, reflections and perspective.” As a result, the exhibitions are a stunning mix of culture, landscape and varied points of view.  As you make your way down through the tower, each floor gets bigger as well as the amount of artwork on it. The work itself is strategically spaced throughout the floors so it’s interesting to navigate throughout the building while admiring the artwork. On the whole, it’s a pleasurable experience for all.
