An elderly man has died after reportedly falling from a ladder near Penge East station.
Police were called to Station Road at 8.25am this morning to reports that a man had fallen from a height.
The man, in his 70s, was pronounced dead at the scene and police are in the process of contacting his next of kin.
London's Air Ambulance also attended.
The death is not being treated as suspicious and a file will be prepared for the coroner.
The Health and Safety Executive has been informed.
A crime scene remains in place.
