Children from Colliers Wood were transported back in time last week as a medieval festival took over their school.
The historical extravaganza included a live jousting tournament, where two knights battled to lay claim to Singlegate Primary School in South Gardens during the festival on Friday, March 17.
Other activities included splat the ‘plagued’ rat, a medieval knight obstacle challenge, hook the hoop onto the shield and a chance to enter the stocks.
Executive Head teacher at Singlegate and William Morris Federation, Nathalie Bull, said: “It was a tremendous example of learning brought to life, and an out of the ordinary experience which has involved the Singlegate community.
“We had a truly wonderful event thanks to the organisation of Miss Bloxsome and her team.”
