A motorcyclist was taken to hopsital after crashing with two cars in Tolworth Underpass.
Police were called to the underpass at 7.20am today to reports of two cars in collision with a motorcyclist.
The male mototcyclist was rushed to a west London hospital. His injuries are not life threatening or life changing, police said.
The A3 southbound was closed for about three hours this morning while officers attended to the scene, causing about four miles of queues and chaos for commuters.
Traffic is was pushed back as far as Shannon Corner due to the collision involving a car and a motorbike.
The road has now reopened, though tailbacks are still being reported.
