A 22-year-old New Cross man was one of six people arrested in dawn drug raids across London.

Detectives from Lewisham's Trilogy arrested five men and one woman as part of an investigation into an organised criminal group suspected of operating a drug network across south-east London and Essex.

A large amount of drugs and several thousand pounds were found in the raids and the six suspects were arrested on suspicion of supplying Class A drugs.

They were taken to a south London police station, where they remain.

The other five people arrested were:

  • A 31-year-old man arrested at an address in SE6
  • A 27-year-old man arrested at an address in Haringey
  • A 23-year-old man arrested at an address in Havering
  • A 23-year-old woman arrested at an address in Southend in Essex
