Police arrested a man on an east London street as part of a counter-terrorism investigations.
Officers from the Metropolitan Police Service's Territorial Support Group arrested a 22-year-old man in the street in east London on Sunday, October 2.
He was detained and then arrested on suspicion of possessing an article for a purpose connected with the commission, preparation or instigation of an act of terrorism
As part of the investigation officers have searched a residential address in east London and part of a business area in Essex.
The man was taken to an east London police station whilst enquires continued.
He has now been released on police bail to a date in mid-December pending further enquiries.
