A fire ripped through an industrial recycling plant in Erith.
35 firefighters battled the inferno in Church Manorway just after 3am this morning (September 30).
The five hour blaze wrecked the building’s extraction system on the fifth to the seventh floor of the eight storey block. Six fire engines, manned by crews from Erith, Bexley, Plumstead, Sidcup and East Greenwich fire stations, put out the fire.
The flames were under control by 8.33am.
The cause of the fire is under investigation.
