A fourth teenager has appeared at the Old Bailey charged the murder of 19-year-old Andre Aderemi in South Croydon.

Ali Zahawy, 18, of Bramble Close, Shirley is accused of being part of a gang that stabbed Mr Aderemi to death in the Monks Hill estate last week.

He was arrested on Sunday, the day after Jamall Longergan, of Woodcroft Road, Thornton Heath, Fabio Cela, of Fryston Avenue, Shirleyand Rodney Mukasa, of Green View Avenue, Monks Orchard, were charged with the murder.

Mr Aderemi, who previously lived on the estate but recently moved to Chatham in Kent, was found bleeding to death in Heather Way at 7.40pm last Tuesday.

He was taken to taken to hospital but later died despite the frantic efforts of paramedics and members of the public to save him.

Mr Zahawy, sportinga black t-shirt and a small beard, appeared before the Old Bailey via videolink from prison this afternoon.

He spoke only to confirm his name and that he could hear what was being said in court.

Judge Michael Topalski remanded the teenager in custody to appear with his three co-defendants on November 8.

A provisional trial date has been set for February 13 next year.
