A MAN stabbed in an attack in Haringey appears to have sought treatment at Finchley Memorial Hospital.

Police officers were called at 5.29pm to reports of a stabbing in Durnsford Road, Haringey, on Wednesday, August 17.

Officers attended the location but neither the victim nor the suspect was at the scene.

The Metropolitan Police could not confirm the man who had presented himself at the hospital was the stab victim.

In a statement, the force said: “At 5.48pm police were informed by staff at a north London hospital that a man had self-presented with a stab wound.

“He was taken to an east London hospital - his condition is not life-threatening.”

The Central London Community Healthcare NHS Trust confirmed that a patient with stab wounds attended the walk-in centre at Finchley Memorial Hospital that same evening.

The patient was taken by air ambulance for further treatment. Police officers believe the suspect - who was travelling in a car - stopped and got out of his vehicle in Durnsford Road.

He approached the victim who was travelling in a separate car and stabbed him before fleeing in his vehicle.
