A COMMUNITY playground has been redesigned and will be unveiled next month.

The Stephens House & Gardens in East End Road, is welcoming families to attend the park’s opening, funded by The Heritage Lottery Parks for People.

Children can take part in a pirate themes fancy dress competition, and meet CBeebies presenter Ella Kenion, from 11am on Sunday September 4.

In a statement from Stephens House and Gardens, it read: “The Playground has been redesigned to facilitate the needs of the local children and families by providing a space where they can explore, climb and build.

“It has been enjoyed for many years and with its new lease of life will provide an attractive and safe play space to the children of Finchley and beyond for years to come.”
