Train services have been cancelled or badly delayed after reports a person was hit by a train at Enfield Lock station.
Abellio Greater Anglia say all lines are blocked between Cheshunt and Tottenham Hale while emergency services deal with an incident, with delays expected until around 1pm.
A statement on their website said: “Train services running through these stations may be cancelled, delayed by up to 30 minutes, or diverted via Seven Sisters.
“The 09:45 Stansted Airport to London Liverpool Street and 09:55 London Liverpool Street to Stansted Airport were the first trains affected by this incident.
“We are sorry if your travel plans are affected by this disruption.”
Although Abellio did not say where the disruption had happened, posts on social media said it happened at Enfield Lock this morning.
One post on Facebook group Love Your Doorstep said: “So sad… thoughts with the train driver as well it must be awful for him as well.”
My thoughts are a driver and all involved in an incident at Enfield lock this morning. Not nice for all concerned what happened
