ORGANISERS are now into the final countdown for East Barnet’s annual summer and community festival.

The 21st annual event will open in Oak Hill Park this Friday (July 1), where artists will open the festival in a ‘Big Band night’.

Helicopter flights are this year’s main attraction and will be on offer to the public on Saturday and Sunday.

Barry, one of the festival organisers said: “There are lots of things happening.

“We have included this year - helicopter flights, you can buy a ticket, or maybe join our raffle where it will be possible to discover 'a golden ticket', and the choice is yours.”

Live bands and local talent groups will headline the main music stage, the dance and start up stage.

On the Sunday, the popular ‘cars in the park’ will return to the festival, where classic and modern vehicles will be on display at a car show.

Last year’s car show attracted over 10,000 people, and organisers are hoping for a similar turnout this year.
