Students at Richard Reynolds School watched a real baby being bathed as part of their science lessons on Tuesday.
Jemma Holiday brought three-month old baby Everley into the classroom so the children could see for themselves everything that was involved in bathing a small child.
Erin Marshall, 12, said: “It was interesting learning about how the mum found the pregnancy and how she coped during it and the birth. I found out a lot that I didn’t know.
“I didn’t realise how amazing the experience is. It was really fun to listen to as well.”
