A new appeal has been made to find three missing students who have not been seen for more than three weeks.

Ikhra Jaal from Tottenham, Mariam Mohamed from Enfield and Alwiye Hassan Nureni from Leyton, all aged 17, are friends and attend Leyton Sixth Form College in Waltham Forest.

None of the girls have been seen since Sunday, April 24, and police have asked for help and information for a second time, and say the girls’ families are increasingly worried.

Ms Jaal is black, 5ft 7ins and of medium build. She usually wears a grey head scarf, and when last seen was wearing a black jacket, black T-shirt, blue skirt and grey trainers.

She was last seen by her mother at 1pm on April 24, when she said she was going to visit the library in Wood Green.

Ms Mohamed is black, 5ft 5ins and slim. She was wearing a black head scarf, black jacket, white top, black skirt, and was carrying a black medium-sized handbag.

She was last seen at noon on April 24 by her mother.

Ms Hassan Nureni is black, approximately 5ft 7ins and slim. She was last seen wearing a grey hoodie, dark blue jeans and white trainers, but may have taken a few items of clothing with her in a small shoulder bag.

She was last seen at 2.30pm on April 24 by her mother, when she said that she was going to Stratford.

Police say the girls had been planning to go away and have reason to believe they have been in the Newport and Cardiff areas of Wales.

They say the girls may have returned to London and are in the Camden area.

Anyone with information is asked to call 101.
