Traffic has come to a near standstill after two cars, a bus and a lorry broke down.
There are queues of around 12 miles and long delays on the A406 North Circular westbound between the A118 Ilford Flyover and A109 Bounds Green Road, after two vehicles broke down.
Delays are stretching back as far as Walthamstow, the M11 and A12 interchanges at South Woodford and Redbridge.
A broken down bus also blocked one lane of the A406 near Charlie Brown’s Roundabout in South Woodford earlier this morning, but TfL engineers have since removed the bus and all lanes at the roundabout have been cleared.
A broken down lorry in lane one is still holding up traffic coming out of the A10 underpass, and there are two lanes blocked on the A406 southbound just before Redbridge Roundabout due to a crash between a car and a motorbike at around 9am.
