A retired teacher has been sentenced for making an indecent image of a child.
Barry Abraham, 57, of Gerard Gardens, Pinner, appeared on bail at Isleworth Crown Court yesterday charged with six counts of making an indecent photograph / pseudo image of a child.
He was sentenced 16 months' imprisonment which was suspended for two years and is to undergo a 12 month sex offender's treatment programme.
Abraham previous pleaded guilty to the offence at Uxbridge Magistrates' Court on Wednesday, March 30.
Abraham was formerly employed as a teacher at a private school in Northwood until his retirement in 2013.
Detective Constable Helen Inder of the Metropolitan Police Service's sexual offences, exploitation and child abuse command said: "I hope the fact that Barry Abraham has been held to account will give victims of sexual abuse the confidence to come forward and speak with police."
