Police are searching for a man after a woman was sexually assaulted in broad daylight in a Mitcham street.

Officers have appealed for anyone to come forward who may have seen the attack, which took place at about 1pm on Friday, April 15, in Heyford Road.

Police have not said whether or not the woman suffered any injuries.

The suspect has been described as a slim black man, 5ft 8in and aged between 16 and 20.

He was seen wearing a dark hooded jacket with dark trousers and trainers and a gold JD sports bag over his shoulder.
