WORCESTER Warriors centre Max Stelling has been named in England Sevens’ squad for next month's World Series leg in Hong Kong.

Stelling could make his debut for England who face South Africa, Scotland and Russia in the pool stages of the event from April 8 to 10.

Stelling hasn't featured for Worcester in the Aviva Premiership this term after losing his place in the squad.

He links up with former Warrior Richard De Carpentier.

Head coach Simon Amor said: “It is an interesting year as our focus has to be on what is right for both England Sevens and Team GB preparations.

"We have to manage the demands on players and in doing that are giving young guys opportunities as well.

"Stelling travelled with us to Vancouver and now has his chance to experience playing on the World Series.

"We have a good relationship with Worcester and are grateful to them for allowing us to work with Max.”

England play South Africa, who currently sit in second place in the series’ standings, on the Friday evening before taking on Scotland and Russia.

Amor added: “Hong Kong is a brilliant tournament, it is the history and tradition that set it apart, the atmosphere, the whole city comes alive; it is a very unique occasion so the opportunity for anyone to be involved is very special.
