BT is appealing for information after communication cables were damaged in New Cross.
Local homes and businesses were left without telephone and broadband services for hours after the cables where cut in Briant Street at around 8.30pm on March 8.
A similar incident took place earlier that day in Kennington Lane, Vauxhall.
Along with Openreach, BT is offering rewards of up to £1,000 for information on cable thieves that leads to an arrest and conviction.
Information can be given anonymously by calling Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111 or filling in the Anonymous Online Form.

Roger Critchell, Director of Operations for Crimestoppers, said: "To have two incidents so close to each other on the same day is worrying and hugely inconvenient for the people affected.
"What might seem like a small crime, really isn’t, which is why I am asking members of the public with any information to contact us anonymously.
"We never ask any of your personal details and nobody will know you contacted us."
Bernie Auguste, from Openreach Security, added: "These incidents took place less than four miles from each other and only a few hours apart and we are calling on anyone who may have seen anything suspicious, however small to contact Crimestoppers."
