If you got off a bus at Carshalton station over the weekend, you'd be forgiven for feeling a little lost.
Passengers hopping off their usual stop found themselves confronted with the surprising revelation that they were actually in Carshalton Beeches, as you can see from our photo.
The two stations are about a mile apart, but we can reassure any concerned Carshalton residents that they have not slipped into a gap in the space-time continuum.
The source of the confusion is far more mundane.
Gary Snewing, regional manager for bus infrastructure, said: "The shelter for this stop was recently installed and unfortunately our contractor used the wrong name.
"We apologise for any inconvenience and we will replace the name of the shelter as soon as possible."
So that clears that up.
Thanks to readers George Kyriakos and John Butler for bringing this gaffe to our attention.
