A man has been charged with flying a surveillance aircraft over the All England Tennis Club days before last summer's Wimbledon Championships.
Glen Moylan, 41, from Leigh-on-Sea, Southend-on-Sea, is due in Wimbledon Magistrates' Court again tomorrow over the charges.
Despite their popularity flying a drone is an offence under the Air Navigation Order 2009 of illegally flying a machine in a controlled air space.
A film-maker was fined £1,225 for flying a drone over Hyde Park last year.
Mr Moylan is charged with flying a small unmanned surveillance aircraft over the All England Club on June 27 last year days before the Championships were due to begin.
