TWO Finchley drug dealers have been locked up for a total of 15 years.

Albanian nationals Skender Toci, 37, and Besnik Mansaku, 40, both of Mountfield Road, were jailed at Harrow Crown Court last Friday (January 15), following a four-month long police operation.

Both had pleaded guilty, alongside two others from their organised crime gang, to conspiracy to supply 16kg of cocaine and possession of criminal property.

Toci was jailed for seven years and eight months, and was given an eight month sentence to run concurrently for Proceeds of Crime Act (POCA) offences.

Mansaku was jailed for seven years and four months, and also received a six month sentence to run concurrently for similar offences.

Gentian Cuka, 38, of Fox Lane, Palmers Green - described as the leader of the group - was jailed for ten years and four months. He was also given a 12 month sentence and a six month sentence to run concurrently for POCA offences.

Abdul Topcu, 41, of Jules Thorn Avenue, Enfield was locked up for seven years and four months. He was given a four year and four months sentence to run concurrently for POCA offences.

Mentor Muslika, 33, of Cunard Crescent, Winchmore Hill, had his sentencing adjourned to a later date.

And another man, Elvis Vladi, 35, of Cester Street, Hackney was found not guilty of the above offences.

Officers carried out surveillance on the group over four months, monitoring their movements and gathering evidence to use against them.

Then on May 19 last year, officers swooped on an address Cuka was using in Hannah Court, Southgate.

They had watched Mansaku leave the address with a bag, who they stopped. Following a violent struggle, Mansaku was detained, and police found two 1kg packages of cocaine inside the bag.

Shortly afterwards, Cuka was arrested as he left the property, and when officers searched inside, they found 11 bags of cocaine, each weighing 1kg, as well as £3,100 in cash.

Officers then attended another address they had been keeping watch on in Mountfield Road, Finchley.

Inside they found Toci, who was also arrested, as well as £4,000 in cash.

Further investigation led police to Jules Thorn Avenue, Enfield on June 16 where Topcu was arrested and more than £50,000 in cash was recovered, along with expensive watches and a gold coin worth an estimated £800.

Muslika was also found at his home, along with £12,000 in cash.

DC Liam Hurley from the Met's Serious and Organised Crime Command, said: "This group thought they could operate with impunity, supplying large quantities of drugs to be distributed across the streets of London.

"However, due to the diligent work of the Serious and Organised Crime Command, Cuka and his associates are now facing a lengthy spell behind bars.

"Drugs blight communities and we will work to pursue those who seek to profit from the plight of others and put them behind bars."

Three other people linked to the gang have also been jailed after pleading guilty to drug dealing.

Anthony Carolan, 41, of Lady Margaret Road, Kentish Town, was jailed last August for five years and six months.

Urim Serini, 44, of King Edwards Road, Enfield, was jailed last February for three years and four months.

Jamal Marcano, 21, of Solomon Avenue, Edmonton was jailed in July for four years.

And another associate, Hyrushe Tobli, 24, of Cunard Crescent, Winchmore Hill, was jailed for eight months after pleading guilty to possession of a false identity document.
