Budding chefs showed off their culinary skills at a regional semi-final of the Rotary Young Chef Competition.
Miranda Collins wowed the judges at the North West London Area semi-final, held at Stanmore's Park High School on Wednesday, to win first place.
The Kingsbury High School pupil will now compete in the London District Finals.
The runners up were Alexandra Sorka and Shania Mallick, both from Canons High School.
The young competitors were nominated via their school's food and technology departments.
They had to prepare a main course and dessert for two people costing no more than £10, with a time of two hours.
In total, nine schools, comprising 18 competitors, participated, all of whom received a prize and certificate.
The Mayor of Harrow, Cllr Krishan Suresh, along with his counterparts Cllr Mark Shooter in Barnet and Cllr Lesley Jones in Brent, attended the event.
Rotarians from Edgware and Stanmore, Golders Green and Northwick Park, together with the headteacher of Park High School and the London Rotary District Governor, Toni Finkel, also came to cheer on the young cooks.
The judging panel consisted of James Harkin, from Alpine Restaurant in Bushey, Terry Farr, from Friends Restaurant in Pinner and Simon Greenfield, from the Institute of Directors in London.
