TENANTS have been handed the keys to three new council homes in Edgware.
The homes, in Barnes Close, are the first of 40 to be completed in Barnet by spring 2016.
Teaching assistant Esther Boakye visited the development yesterday to pick up her keys.
The 36-year-old, who has been living in temporary accommodation in Neasden with her three children since November last year, said: “I am looking forward to having my own home. It’s great.”
Ms Boakye and her family previously lived in Southgate from 2007.
Barnet Homes and developers Bugler started work on the £770,000 scheme last March.
