Police are searching for two people who boarded a train at Bellingham before threatening a passenger and stealing his bike.

A man and a woman confronted the victim on a Sevenoaks to Bedford service on November 15.

After taking his bike the man then threatened the victim he would attempt to steal from him again.

When the pair got off the train at Nunhead at around 6.45pm the woman was seen riding the bike as they left the station.

PC Matt Hodges, leading the investigation, said: "The threatening remarks from the man left the victim feeling intimidated and had no choice but to give up his cycle for fear of being physically hurt.

"Passengers have the right to travel in safety and comfort, and I’d urge anyone with information that can help to contact us."
