The driver of this car was lucky to escape without injury following a smash in Penge, police said.

The car landed on its roof after crashing into another vehicle in Anerley Road at the junction of Seymour Villas at around 4.50am today (November 28).

No-one was seriously injured in the crash, a Met Police spokesman said.

Bromley officers, who tweeted a photo of the smashed up car on its roof in the centre of the road, said: “One very lucky driver escaped injury from this crash in Penge.

“Apologies for the road closures earlier this morning.”

Anerley Road was blocked and buses were diverted after the collision.

The vehicle has since been recovered and the road has reopened.
