STUDENTS and charity workers will say no to FGM at a public event and film screening on the issue.
Charity SafeHands for Mothers and arts students from the University of Westminster will be hosting a public event on ending Female Genital Mutilation (FGM) at the Harrow campus on November 2.
Earlier this year, SafeHands launched award-winning film campaign Now That You Know Say NO to FGM, featuring three short films to highlight the an estimated 20,000 girls under the age of 15 are at risk of this practice in the UK.
Now the charity is teaming up with university students to run an event that will feature the three films and a screening of the award-winning SafeHands production The Cutting Tradition, narrated by Meryl Streep.
This will be followed by a Q+A with producer and director of The Cutting Tradition and Founder Director of SafeHands for Mothers Nancy Durrell McKenna along with others.
