A woman who has been charged over tweets using the hashtag #killallwhitemen will appear in court next month.
Bahar Mustafa, 28, of Edmonton, was initially accused of racism for asking white men not to attend a students’ union meeting intended for ethnic minority women.
The Goldsmith’s Student Union diversity officer then became embroiled in an argument on social media where she was accused of tweeting the hashtag ‘#killallwhitemen’ from her account.
The page has since been deleted.
She has been charged with sending a communication conveying a threatening message between 10 November 2014 and 31 May 2015 and sending a grossly offensive message via a public communication network between the same times.
She will appear at Bromley Magistrates court on November 5.
