A story about a nurse who witnessed a man weeing in her garden was mentioned on BBC Radio 4’s The News Quiz this week.

The story was read to the live audience by Scottish comedienne Susan Calman during Friday’s airing of the satirical review of the week’s news, chaired by Miles Jupp.

With tens of thousands of rugby fans walking to and from Twickenham stadium on World Cup match days, almost inevitably some will be caught short.

And a Cole Park Road resident, who asked not to be named, said she confronted one man who she saw relieving himself in her front garden.

She said: "I couldn't believe it - I opened the window and shouted 'Oi, put that penis away'.

"In my work as a nurse, I have dealt with a lot of penises over the years and I have no problem with them or with rugby, for that matter.”

"But it is disgusting to see people [urinating] on personal property."
