Former Petts Wood teacher Jeremy Forrest, who was jailed after he fled with a 15-year-old pupil, has reportedly been applying for a job in the classroom.
Forrest, formerly of Chislehurst Road, was jailed for five-and-a-half years in June 2013 for child abduction and five charges of sexual activity with a child.
After being released in July this year, Forrest has a new CV listing his teaching skills, according to The Sun newspaper.
The 33-year-old, who formerly taught at Bromley Common’s Bishop Justus School, groomed his teenage pupil at a school in Eastbourne before they fled to France sparking an eight-day manhunt.
According to the newspaper Forrest's CV fails to mention his time in prison, stating he will "explain on interview".
A source who saw the document told The Sun: "For this man to try to get back into education after what he did is unbelievable. His CV details his achievements in schools, including the one where he met and ran off with his pupil.
"It seems he’s proud of his career. There’s no hint he acted wrongly.
"Anyone inviting him to an interview will be shocked when they hear his explanation."
