A man has died following a crash between a motorcycle and a car last night (September 16).
Police and paramedics were called to the scene in Honey Lane, Waltham Abbey, underneath the M25 at junction 26, at around 10pm following reports of a collision between a BMW K1200R motorbike and a Vauxhall Insignia.
The motorcyclist, a 52-year-old man from Waltham Abbey, was taken to The Royal London Hospital with multiple injuries.
He passed away this morning.
A 43-year-old man was arrested on suspicion of causing death by dangerous driving.
He is currently in custody awaiting questioning.
A section of the road remained closed until 3am today (September 17).
Officers are appealing for witnesses to contact the Serious Collision Investigation Unit on 101.
