Firefighters were called to yet another fire on Dartford Heath on Monday (September 7).

The incident, at around 3.30pm, happened across around 50 square metres of heathland, with crews from Kent Fire and Rescue using a hose reel jet to put it out.

There were no reported injuries and the cause of the fire is not yet known.

News Shopper has recently reported on grass and shrubland blazes in Wrotham, Crayford, Northfleet and Swanley, as well as numerous fires on Dartford Heath.

Last month we revealed Kent Police and fire crews were working together to investigate the source of dozens of such fires during the summer months.

A number have been deemed suspicious, leading Dartford crew manager Richard Emery to warn against such "mindless crime", adding "it's only a matter of time before someone gets hurt."
