Two men and two women escaped a fire at a house in New Eltham, in the early hours of yesterday (September 8).
They left the two floor property, in Beanshaw, before the arrival of the Brigade.
All four were assessed at the scene by the London Ambulance Service but did not require treatment.
The whole of the ground floor, part of the first floor and a small area of the external fascia of the property was damaged by fire.
A car was also damaged in the blaze.
Watch Manager Stephen Lloyd who was at the scene said: "The house was well alight when we got there.
"It was a rapidly developing fire, crews worked well to bring it under control quickly and managed to save the first floor of the property."
Four fire engines and around 20 firefighters from Lee Green, Eltham and Sidcup fire stations attended the incident.
The Brigade was called at 12.11am and the fire was under control at 1.57am. The cause of the fire is under investigation.
