Dozens of "sneakerheads" bagged a pair of limited edition Kanye West trainers after queuing in Oxford Street for days.

Shoe collectors and fans of the rap superstar camped outside Foot Locker for almost a week for the chance to buy a pair of Adidas Yeezy Boost 350.

Self-confessed "sneakerhead" Sultan Est, 23, was the first to snap up a pair after they officially went on sale at 10am today.

"It was very worth it, all the queuing," he said.

"I'm definitely going to keep them, they're one of my favourite pairs.

"I collect sneakers, I've got about 80 pairs in my personal collection."

West first penned a deal for his shoe range with Adidas in 2013 and the first 9,000 pairs of his Yeezy Boots sold out in 10 minutes.

The musician, husband of Kim Kardashian, is also a style icon for many fans.

Foot Locker staff handed out wristbands to help control the crowd after hundreds of people gathered in the street.

Monique Jones, 17, has slept on a bench since Monday to get her hands on a pair of the exclusive trainers.

"It was definitely an experience and it's the first time I've done anything like this," she said.

"I was number two in the line so it was quick.

"I do feel bad for anyone who didn't get them."

She added: "There was only about one incident when someone was trying to push in."

EJ Black, 33, also camped out for days to snag a pair.

"It was worth all the queuing, I really like them," he said.

"People queued from Sunday and I was one of the early ones.

"It nearly kicked off a few times, it was hot-headed - in Oxford Street for four or five days and it rained.

"I think the wristbands were a good idea but they could have given them out earlier instead of having people wait for days."
