A man brandishing a handgun robbed a bookies in Charlton yesterday (August 11).
The incident happened at Coral in Charlton Road, at around 9.30am.
A police spokesman said: "Police were called at 9.37am yesterday to reports of an armed robbery at Coral bookmakers in Charlton Road.
"The suspect is a black man wearing dark clothing in possession of a handgun.
"He stole a quantity of money in the robbery.
"Detectives from the Met police flying squad are investigating."
No one was injured in the incident and there have been no arrests.
