A man has been killed following a car crash in Balham High Road at about 1am today.
The 47-year-old, who has not been formally identified, crashed into a bus stop.
The London Ambulance Service performed CPR on him but he died at the scene.
Detectives from the Metropolitan Police are now investigating the circumstances of the crash and have asked witnesses to come forward.

One man, who did not wish to be named, said the night bus he was taking home was stopped in Balham High Road because of the crash.
He said: "It was hard to see from where I was but there was definitely a wreckage and some debris in the road.
"It's such an awful thing to have happened."
Police were called at 1.15am today, Tuesday, July 28, and found medics trying to treat the driver.
Roads were closed following the crash but have since reopened.
Enquiries are underway to trace next of kin.
