Enfield’s clinical commissioning group is set to have a new chief officer after three years.

Liz Wise will leave Enfield’s CCG at the end of July for a new ole as programme director for Primary Care at the Healthy London Partnership Programme.

Wise has overseen the Barnet, Enfield and Haringey strategy which has seen Chase Farm Hospital’s accident and emergency and maternity units close along with upgrades to Barnet hospital and North Middlesex University hospital.

As part of the shake-up, Paul Jenkins will become chief officer with Deborah McBeal becoming deputy officer at the beginning of August.

Mr Jenkins has been part of the NHS since 1989 and is currently the Director of Integrated Commissioning for NHS Southwark CCG.

Ms McBeal has worked in healthcare for 29 years and is currently deputy chief operating officer at Brent CCG.

She has had a variety of roles including managing front-line acute services across a number of London Hospitals, running a GP practice and Practice Based Commissioning Group, as a Director of the Student Health Association.

A spokesperson for the CCG said: “We are sad to see Liz leave. Throughout her time at Enfield CCG she has worked tirelessly to improve health services for people in Enfield and to reduce health inequalities. We will miss her and wish her well in her new role. We look forward to welcoming Paul and Deborah to Enfield CCG.”
