Chiltern campaign groups to speak before HS2 Select Committee
Campaign groups calling for HS2 to go through the whole of the Chilterns Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty in a tunnel are to give evidence before an influential committee of MPs tomorrow.
Four groups will put forward the case for a tunnel to go all the way through the AONB in Bucks when they appear before the HS2 Select Committee on Monday.
They are the National Trust for Places of Historic Interest or Natural Beauty, the Chiltern Countryside Group, the Chiltern Ridges HS2 Action Group, and the Conserve the Chilterns and Countryside group.
They will be called to give evidence before the committee from 2pm. The session will be available to view online at www.parliamentlive.com.
