A little bit of heaven comes to east London this week in the form of a new American-themed bar combining drinking with classic video games and pinball machines.
Looking like a mix of an amusement arcade and a speakeasy, Scottish craft brewery BrewDog’s Two-Bit will open on July 4 to coincide with US Independence Day.
The new venue can be found underground beneath BrewDog’s Shoreditch bar in Bethnal Green Road.
An eclectic selection of American craft beer will be on tap, with a range of bourbon whiskeys also available.
Button-bashing is also on the menu, with various vintage games to play including Downtown USA Racing, Space Invaders and Tron, plus pinball machines such as Metallica, Rolling Stones, and Dirty Harry.
BrewDog cofounder James Watt said: “The addition of epic whiskeys and pinball galore makes it the ultimate underground 21st century American speakeasy.
“Two-Bit is the kind of bar I have always wanted to open. We love everything the craft beer landscape stands for in the US and it seemed only fitting that we’d kit out an American beer-led bar with all the bright lights, bells, whistles and buzzers of classic arcade games.”
