A London man is among the victims of the Tunisia beach gun massacre.

Chris Dyer, 32, is thought to have been shot in the head by AK47 rounds as he and his wife Gina Van Dort ran for cover into the Imperial Marhaba hotel garden.

Mrs Van Dort, 30, was reportedly shot under the chin by the gunman, with the bullet exiting through her eye.

The couple lived in Watford, with electrical engineer Mr Dyer originally from Ruislip, west London.

The national press has reported Mrs Van Dort clasped onto her dead husband during the beach resort terror attack.

It is also reported that when Mrs Van Dort came round from emergency surgery, her facial injuries had left her unable to speak.

However, she wrote a note to hospital staff immediately asking for her wedding ring, which had been removed for the operation.

Mrs Van Dort was due to be flown back to the UK overnight by the RAF with the remaining five British survivors of the holiday massacre.
