Rugby star Hugo Southwell made a guest appearance at the Beaconsfield Donkey Derby on Saturday.
The former Wasps and Scotland player took part in a tug of war challenge as a sideshow to the main event at St Mary and All Saints School.
Youngsters saddled up for seven donkey races through the school grounds at the event, which is now in its 16th year.
It was organised by the school's PTA and the Beaconsfield Lions Club.
Ian Andrew, one of the Lions Club's committee members, said: "The day went very well. The turnout was a lot better than last year and the takings are well up. There was a lot of interest from the children, we had very good weather - all in all it was a very good day."
