About 150 people, including Danny Alexander and a ukulele band joined in the fun at a Balham street party.
Tug of war: A hard-fought competition
With bunting strewn across Endlesham Road and pedestrians only, party goers had the full run of the road on Sunday, June 7.
A long line of tables allowed people to catch up and meet new neighbours while sampling food and drink.
Rehema Figueriredo said: "It was wonderful to see people from all parts of the community coming together for a day of fun in the sun. The ukulele band and barbecue went down a treat although competition got rather fierce when it came to the tug of war and welly throwing.
"Although everyone was pretty exhausted by the end the barn dance was also great fun. I really hope the church and neighbours make this an annual fixture in Balham’s calendar."
