Police have named the victim of a fatal stabbing and charged a man with murder.

Lukey Maxwell, 22, from Tottenham was stabbed to death in Northumberland Park in the early hours of Friday morning.

Detectives have today charged Arthur Gorol, 36, of Tregelles Road, Hoddesdon, with the murder of Mr Maxwell.

Gorol will appear at Hendon Magistrates Court on Monday, June 8.

Four men aged 40, 55, 32, and 34, and two women aged 42 and 47, who were arrested on Friday, June 5 in relation to this incident have all been released with no further action.

Police were called shortly after midnight on Friday to reports of an injured man and found 22 year-old Lukey Maxwell collapsed, suffering from what appeared to be a stab wound.

Despite the efforts of officers, the London Ambulance Service and London Air Ambulance were unable to revive Mr Maxwell and he was pronounced dead at the scene.

Witnesses are being encouraged to come forward and help officers with their enquiries.
